Detailed Description
Compact Rugged Inclination Sensor TTL High Accuracy Digital Inclinometer for Vehicle Applications INC316 Product Description INC316 inclinometer is a low cost and small digital output single-axis inclinometer. RS232, RS485 and TTL all can be its output mode. INC316 contains 3D-MEMS-based dual axis inclinometer modules that provide instrumentation grade performance for leveling applications in harsh environment. The measucall axes of the sensing elements are parallel to the mounting plane and ortholeave nal to each other. Low temperature dependency, high resolution and low sound , together a with robust sensing element design, make the INC316 the ideal choice for leveling instruments. The SkyMEMS inclinometers are insensitive to vibration, due to their above damped sensing elements, and can withstand mechanical shocks of up to 2000 g. INC316 inclinometer likes high performance at quite low cost; it has been widely applied in the dwhetherferent applications. Inclinometers measure the orientation angle of an object with respect to the force of gravity. This is done by means of an accelerometer, which monitors the effect of gravity on a tiny mass suspended in an elastic support structure. When the device tilts, this mass wbad move slightly, causing a change of capacitance amongthe mass and the supporting structure. The tilt angle is calculated from the measured capacitances. The function can be badustrated with a simplwhetheried model with two electrodes: one fixed, and the other (the proof mass) is movable, suspended by spcall elements. When the inclinometer is in a horizontal position, the capacitance amongthe electrodes is measured. If the sensor is tilted, the movable mass and its electrode wbad change position relative to the fixed electrode. This resulting change of capacitance amongthe two electrodes is measured by the sensor cell and used to calculate the new inclination value. ,
